Mr. Mayur G. Bhatt left us on 14th April 2021. He bravely fought Covid and succumbed at the age of 43. While we mourn the loss, we would also like to applaud and feel proud of his achievements, the many lives he touched, and the great man he was. He came from a humble family background, and right from his childhood he was a very cheerful, loving and caring child. After completing his Engineering and MBA from Mumbai University, he chose to be an entrepreneur.

He rose to the position of being the Director, of Sea Geo Surveys Pvt. Ltd., a Survey firm with expertise in Engineering Consultancy, Hydrographic, Oceanographic Survey, Positioning & Diving Services. His ideas & dedication led to associations with many green field projects. He was also the founder of Software Firm Our Technologies, which has to its credit many user-friendly software applications providing innovative solutions for Offshore & Onshore projects.

He was the pioneer in the fields of Hydrography, Marine Navigation Equipment & its software in India. His vision was to indigenise Hydrographic Equipment and related software. He developed many integrated Hydrographic systems and software which are in use in the industry. He helped various clients with his innovative ideas and turned them to innovative technology for Survey & Navigation. He held on to his dreams and converted them into reality. His persistent passion and diligent hard work elevated him as well as his companies to great success.

His contribution to the company, industry and to the community is indispensable. He was a firm believer in giving back to the Society. He was always of the opinion that “Every human being has infinite potential provided that they get true mentorship at the right time”. He therefore established collaboration with various universities for Graduate Trainee Programmes for the upliftment and training of students, for discovering and developing their potential to become world class Surveyors. Under his guidance, these trained professionals are able to successfully execute various projects in India and Overseas.

He was of the opinion that Discipline and Team work achieved in sports and team activities are of utmost important in the workplace. He made hard work and play both an integral part of his life.

We have learned so much from him – his inquisitiveness, curiosity and push for higher standards is something that will continue to inspire all of us. The best tribute we can offer to our Leader would be to emulate his ideals and work toward realizing his dreams. Let his vision, “To make every man a success and no man a failure,” inspire us to follow in his footsteps.
